Ste. Anne Natural Gas Co-op Ltd. Goes to AMR
Ste. Anne Natural
Gas Co-op Ltd. Is pleased to announce that the
implementation of the Automatic Meter Reading system is
under way. MeterCor, who is contracted to do this job, will
install ERT (Encoder, Receiver and Transmitter) device on
the current natural gas meter. This device encodes your
meter reading data, receives instructions from the mobile
collector and then transmits the meter reading data. All
transmissions are done via radio frequency.
After the entire
region is automated and testing of the system is complete,
Ste. Anne Gas Co-op employees will begin to read your meter
with a mobile collector. So instead of having to send in
your read to the office every month or having a meter reader
enter your yard, a Gas Co-op employee will drive through
your area to collect meter reading data. Once the system is
operational you can look forward to timely, up to date
billing, regardless of weather conditions or meter access
issues.
In the interim
please continue to submit your month end meter read normally
as before. When your area is completed, tested and
operating we will notify you when to stop sending in your
meter read. Ste. Anne Natural Gas Co-op Ltd. would like
to thank you in advance for your cooperation during this
transition.
Prepaid Gas Services
The Board of Directors
of Ste. Anne Gas have determined that the 2010 Construction
year will be the last year that previous years Prepaid Gas
Services will be installed. As of January 1, 2011 all Gas
Contracts will be charged at the current rates for the year.
Gas Contracts will not
be carried over to the next year but must be installed in
the year applied for. There must be a valid structure on the
property for gas service to be installed.
Fixed Charge Decrease
As of Sept 1, 2011 a
$5.00 reduction in the Capital Expenditure Fee has been
applied to the Fixed Charge reducing the fee from $33.00 to
$28.00 per month. The Capital Expenditure Fee of $10.00 was
added to the Fixed Charge on May 1/2010 due to some of the
larger projects such as meter replacement, Automatic Meter
Reading (AMR) and line replacement/upgrades that had to be
done.
